The best thing about graduating from high school is the moment you get to do your final gathering with the friends you've spent your whole time with in school.
The idea of organizing this prom night was brought up randomly. All we wanted to do was to have fun right after finals.
We did hesitate a little as we weren't confident that we will not be losing money as this is a 5 digit cost project.
We only had so little time to do so much preparation as we were having assignments and finals to complete at that moment.
But then, we still did it. We started blasting out the news to get feedback from the others and it turned out pretty well.
So that's when we started planning and asking for voluntary organizing committees.
It wasn't easy as not many people would be keen to risk their studies for this.
Anyway, so we started conducting meetings, throwing ideas and sketching out plans on how to go about with this whole thing. I remember it took us quite long to confirm everything as we were struggling with the cost itself.
Then, we printed tickets and posters to start the whole sales.
First phase came out pretty well as we were able to sell off the first phase tickets within a week.
It was the second phase that I started to feel a little struggle. It took almost 2 months for the second phase tickets to be sold out.
Then, ticket sales started to slow down and it was really difficult to actually keep up with our target.
We sort off stopped the preparation for the event for awhile when it's near to our finals.
After finals, we started rushing for the preparation again.
It was a crazy one.
We were discussing our plans verbally and non of the executions were made until a week before the event. That's when we actually started looking around for sponsorship and getting all the things we need to be done.
Time was ticking when we had to wait for what we've actually ordered or requested to be done and most of them were only done the day before the event.
Updates on the ticket sales, it shot up a week before the event and on the day itself many decided to walk-in. So that's how we actually survived through the ticket sales crisis so called haha.
That morning itself was insane, all the committees were rushing to get things done and also we had to prepare ourselves too.
But thank God and thanks to my fellow committees, everything was nicely done as planned.
I'm not gonna explain much about what happened on that night itself cause everything is shown in the video below.
You know when Gold is made under pressure, this is how everything turned out heh.
Here's an overview of our Pre-U Graduation Prom and I'm really happy everyone enjoyed with their buddies and loved ones that night.
Didn't get to take much picture on that night but at least here's a few of my favorite group pictures.
(I'm sorry for not posting the duet pictures cause there's too many)

After having a break on doing events for more than 2 years, it's great to see that instead of losing the interest, I've readily received recognition from the others on my ability to make an event a successful one and I'm really really happy and proud of myself. "Clarissa, you really did a great job!", "Hey we really had so much fun!", "Clarissa, thanks for the night!", could be yet simple but really pleasing and convincing.
All these mean way much more than anyone could ever think of to me.
People call me a perfectionist, I call it a necessity to make sure everything is good at its finest. Not even once I would dare to think of myself being confident to make sure everything would turn out well and taking it easy.
Sincerely thankful to the ones who came out to help when I needed them the most, sincerely thankful to be able to see the true colors of those who treated me well and those who didn't at times like this.
This would keep me going stronger than ever.
Here's about it, I'm sorry I took forever to finish up this blog but yes it's finally out!
Hope you enjoyed this!
Till next time,
Lots of love. x
